Hello!
Vocabulary: I learn about 50 words. But I don't remember them perfectly.
Reading: I read "Big picture". This book is about a photographer. It was very thrilling. But I will read the book with more numbers of characters.
Listening: I watched a TED Talk entitled "How autism feed me to be myself" By Rosie King. I was very surprised because she is 16 years old and an autism! Her speech was wonderful. She did not look like the handicapped person but an "ordinary" person. But I noticed this thought is stereotype. She considered autism to be an ability. I want to lose the stereotype.
Writing: I did 5 quick writes this week. I could write about joyful topic a lot, but I couldn't write about serious topic. So I want to expand the word that can be written.

Hi Sally, Good job getting your first weekly report in. Vocabulary: Be sure to use the words you learned so you don't forget them. Reading: Yes, please find a new book preferably a novel. Listening: Thank you for sharing. Yes, we need to get rid of stereotypes and look at people as individuals. Writing: Please let us know how many words you wrote in each quick write.
Great work Sally, please keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Miyagi H

I'm sorry that I didn't submit the report because I was busy last week.
Vocabulary: I learned about 50 words. Reading: I read "The Gift of the Magi and Other Stories" By O.Henry. There are many stories which O.Henry wrote in the book. The best story is "The Gift of the Magi" for me. The story is about a couple in Christmas. They are very poor but very happy because they love each other. My mind has gotten warm very much. Listening: I watched a TED Talk entitled "The world's English mania" By Jay Walker. His speech is very short but there is the essence of learning English. He says learning English expands your world. I want to study English more hard. Writing: I was able to write 150 characters in maximums in the sentences and my English teacher corrected them.

Hi Sally, Thank you for posting your weekly report.
Vocabulary: Wow! 50 words is a lot. Did you practice using them?
Reading: The Gift of the Magi is a great story. Do you know what a Magi is? Why did O. Henry write this story? What is true love?
Listening: Yes, I agree. English is a tool to help you gain opportunities to grow.
Writing: 150 words is great! Did you do one every day?
Great job Sally! If you think 50 words is too much please cut it down to 25 words per week and increase your usage time. Remember you need to lean how to use these words and they need to become automatic.
Sincerely,
Miyagi H

Hello, today the result of my final exam returned, but it was not so good.
vocabulary: I learned new 20 words this week. Reading: I started to read "Heidi". This book is very long and a little difficult, so it takes a lot of time to read. But I want to read the book completely. Listening: I watched a TED Talk entitled "For these women, reading is a daring act" By Laura Boushnak. There are so many people who cannot write the character. In paticular, women cannot. I'd like to be thankful again that I can get education, and I am going to think how to change the situation. Writing: There are no topics so much for me recently. I have written the topics which I am good at writing, for example, about my future, life style and so on. What should I do?
