Hello, Vocabulary: I learned about 25 new words this week. I want to learn it well one by one.
Reading: I read "phantom of the Opera". I like this story. I Scared when I read at night, but finally,I think that is good story.I think I want to gradually challenge a difficult book.
Listening:I watched TED TALKS. I listened speech by Jeff Lliff. He said about "One more reason to get a good night's sleep".Proposed that when we sleep, all this moisture that filled the rest of the body would come rushing back, rehydrateing the brain and refreshing the mind.So I think it is important to sleep even if I 'm very busy!
Writing:I tried to write 3 topics. There was the difference of the thing not to be able to write that I could write it,so I want to become able to write even various topics.

Hi Ashley!
This is Malcolm, one of the FILA English teachers.
Keep up with the vocabulary study. As you learn the words, remember to also look at the different forms of the words. Try using the new words that you learn each week when you write posts on this board or any time you speak or write in daily life. It may seem strange at first, but it does help you remember them. Maybe you have heard the phrase, "Use it or lose it." Using the words regularly with help you to remember them and keep them in your long-term memory. Then you can say with certainty that you have learned them.
Why couldn't you read this week? This reading should be fun and enjoyable. Don't choose a book that is too difficult. You should be able to read and understand the book easily. Please try to be consistent with all your studies. It is good practice for when you come to university.
It sounds like you didn't listen very well. If you don't find the talk interesting, change to a different one. You need to be consistent. Little by little everyday. Listening is a skill like playing a sport or an instrument. If you don't practice consistently, it will take longer to develop, and it will be frustrating, so you are likely to give up. Please try harder to do some of each of these each day, OK?
How many Quick Writes did you do in total?
Writing is also a skill, which develops with consistent practice. Remember, Quick Writes are to develop speed and the ability to think and write quickly about a topic. Read the topic and then think about it for one minute, then write. All the topics are different. Some will be easier to write about than others, this is normal. Don't worry. You will get faster with practice.
Little by little! I know you can do it!
Malcolm

Sorry... I didn't study and write weekly report for two weeks, because I studied for the examination that is a graduate. So I want to begin with today again because an examination was over. But I learned about speech of Martin Luther King Jr.in English Reading class. I was surprised at a speech of the Dr. King.I felt it so far when power to change that they had been discriminated routinely was terrible power.I acquire English ability, and want to look at the world with one's eyes.

Hi Ashley, Thank you for posting your weekly report.
Vocabulary: We highly recommend using those 300 words as you type out your weekly reports. Your weekly report is an opportunity to practice using the vocabulary you learned in the week. Please write more on your weekly posts. You can also use the vocabulary you learned in the quick types.
Reading: Great book! The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a classic. I read it in 8th grade but its good to read it again once in a while. Did you think his punishment at the beginning of the story was just? Why did Tom make a mess of his clothes in the first place? Did you like his solution of deligating his responsibilities? Do you think leaving the painting to his friends was wrong? Why or why not?
Listening: OK, what was the listening on the TOEIC about?
Writing: Good job getting to 126 words. Please try typing and see if you can increase your word count.
Sincerely,
Miyagi H
