Helen introduced many poem about love. I don’t know about this topic. So it is so interested. 2 Linda Hill: How to manage for collective creativity She studies collective genius. She showed what leadership is. She often meets persons who work as a top of company such as Picser and Google. I learned that good leader is who believe worker’s ability even though the worker is too young. 3 Rives: The 4 a.m. mystery We can see and listen “ 4 a.m.” in songs, articles and poems. One day he wanted to know what “4 a.m.” 4 Rives: A story of mixed emotion He is performance artist and storyteller. In this talk, he tells a fairy tale using the typography such as ,:} and o{=. I leaned creativity is important. 5 Clint Smith:The danger of silence Reading I have read “ the new human revolution12”. It’s because there are stories about the begging of Soka Gakuen. Now we graduate this school tomorrow. When I read it ,I went back to basics. Vocabulary I had no time to remember words. I tried to input 25 words. Hello everybody! Hoping everything is all right! We are approaching to the Opening Ceremony! I am so excited and anxious! Am I the only one? Hahaha
Sorry for replying late! Here is my weekly report! I tried to do differently at this time.
Vocabulary: - I managed learning more 40 new words at this week! Writting down the meaning, different part of speech and examples. I like the word "chunk" because I am kind of curious to know the Japanese's chunk! Hahaha. Another word is "sponsorship" because I had the opportunity to get a sponsorship to study at SUJ! I am so thankful and I will do my best to be a global citizen able to make my contribution for our world!
Writting: - "Write about a time that you helped someone" (277 words) It was really nice to remember the time that I helped my Turkish friend when I was in Canada! I could remember of the good and bad moments! We still keep in touch with each other! How wonderful is to have friends from all over the world and I am so thankful! - "Write about a time when you were in trouble." (244 words) It was in a recent time that it happened hahaha. It was really challenge to write about it but I did it! Thank you for the opportunity! - "Write about a scary or dangerous experience." (261 words) I wrote about one of the most scary moment that is a Schizophrenic' crisi from my uncle that lives with me. - "If you were rich, what would you do?" (266 words) It was a good opportunity to practice my if-tenses.. "If I were rich, I would travel around the world..." haha
Reading: I tried reading more newspaper and BBC News. - "Where do whales go to die" - "The Origin of the Anus" That was a little bit awkward to read about but it was interested to know how evaluated humans are! - "Annie" I have achieved at the middle of the story. She has just inspired me to keep following my dreams!
Listening: I have listened more news from television and websites, such as BBC and Voice America (something like that). In addition, I am watching some sitcoms and movies in English to practice my listening skills. - "Talking about money" It was a video from the Voice America to teach non-native speakers about phrasal verbs for money, such as "Fork over the money!" or "Yeah... I am just getting by!" - "What happens to lost US Airline luggage?" The video was about a company which buy and resells unclaimed baggaes from the airline industry. It was really funny because I could see so many different things that people carry inside their luggage, such as collections, technology and clothes! - "Choosing to be a Single mother." It was a news from a mother who wrote a book about choosing to be a single mother by using a unknown man's sperm. She decided to write a book to encourage others to have the same confidence as she did! - "Will we taste, smell and touxh with Smartphones?" It discussed a lot about technology and how it will work in the future. From now, the project is just an idea! - I watched the movie "Wreck it Ralph" I had watched this movie before and I always get emotionally touched with the movie, which represents that there are always a both sides of everything! You can choose what you want, to be good or bad! It is all up to you!
That it is! Thank you so much and I can say:
SEE YOU NEXT WEEK! (O M G) HAHAHA

I am so pround for having such wonderful classmates and teachers! Thank you for iinspiring me to keep going and study harder! Some of you are studying more than 200 words per day! That is INCREDIBLE! If I study 10 new words per day, I need to have 2 pages to write down all the meanings and examples to illustrate! What about 100 or 200! I am sure when I get sad or discouraged, I will have amazing friends to count on! I have met some Soka students who are doing the study abroad in Brazil and they are amazing! I am sure we will build up a true friendship for the rest of our lives! And also, to have teachers who I can truly count on as more than teachers! You are amazing! I will do my best to correspond all the expectation! Teachers from Soka School of Brazil are just like mothers and fathers for me! They really care not only of our academic development but also as a valuable student! Thank you so much! Soooo... See you next week! \o/ *I am practicing the Soka Gakuseika to sing in the Opening Ceremony and also whenever I hear it! What about you?

Patti! I just saw your weekly report and decided to make a comment about it. I just wanted to say that the topics you read sound interesting and funny! Like the second thing you read that was "awkward." I'd imagine that, it would be some what controversial and a bit uncomfortable to read, but at the same time very interesting as well as informative! It's getting really close to that time! And while it is very exciting, I'm also a bit nervous and scared to move away from home... But I am really glad to have these weekly posts because it makes me feel like I've gotten to know a little bit about everyone so...thank you. Peace, Erin

Totally Erin! I've never travelled to a country so far as Japan. I went to Toronto, Canada in 2013. It was a real opportunity to develop my English skills and to meet people from all over the world. I dreamed about arriving in Japan and SUJ! It was awesome and everyone was really friendly with us! Are you going by yourself or with your parents?
Hahahaha, yeah! It was kind of embarrassing at first but it was really interesting to know how it would be different if we do not have the anus. It is a evaluated organ of our digestive system, which make us capable to take up new foods while digesting others. If we haven't had it, we would wait for a long time to digest and eat again.
All the best, Patti

Hi,everyone!I'm Celeste. I'm so sorry for the delay report... I did't have enough time and I was sick...
Vocabulary I learned 25words last week. I tried to use words I have learned in my Quick Writes cause I'm easy to forget words. I hear many new words in TED or VOA so I want to learn a lot words.
Reading I read "The Wizard of Oz" Ill explain the story from the beginning. The first Dorothy, she is main character, and her dog were taken to the beautiful world she have never seen with their house by cyclone. But where they landed was on a witch!so she died. However, she was bad witch so Dorothy was praised Munchkins. Do you know Munchkin?? It means small pearson like people appear as seven dwarves in Snow White. Dorothy wanted to go Kansas where her house WAS in but nobody know Kansas. Then Munchkins tell her Oz.they said"We are sure Oz tell you the way to your hometown!" So Dorothy started her adventure! She met a scarecrow and a tin woodman and a lion on her way. The scarecrow don't have no brains, the woodman have no heart, the lion isn't brave. Because of these reason they started adventure together! On their adventure's way,the tin woodman cried because he stepped upon a beetle and it died. Then I thought he have a little heart.
Listening I listened to TED"How not to be ignorant about the world". In this talk, two men(they are parent and child)made their talk. They said we should know generalization and we have to answer we don't know in detail with generalization. They also say that if we say the middle of things,we maybe get correct answer. I don't like this way but I thought it is important not to fail in society. But I don't like...
Writing I did 8Quick Writes. I wrote 124.5words in average. My weak point is I take some minutes to hit on sentences.I must make a progress in it.And I should know words more and more.
I'm so sorry for the late report. I'll manage my time and my physical condition. Thank you for reading!! I'm looking forward to see you!!

Dear All,
Sorry for the late response. I have been packing and moving myself this past week, so haven't been able to read your reports till now.
Some of you have very meaningful reports which allow me to know exactly what you are doing. Thank you! I won't mention names this week... Some of you are still a bit vague or what you are doing. I think some of you didn't read the posts that Mr. Miyagi and I wrote last week. Please go back and read our posts for March 6th.
"I learned 25 words." is NOT meaningful....
Look at the posts of your classmates which I mentioned in my March 6th post and those Mr. Miyagi mentioned this week.
Also, I am still not seeing much interaction between you. (Yes, a few of you are. Thank you!) Are you reading each other's posts? Are you giving any feedback to your new classmates? Are you encouraging others? Please, please, please use this forum to help and encourage each other.
I am looking forward to meeting you all face to face very soon.
Malcolm

Hi,everyone! I'm looking forward to seeing you soon:) Vocabulary: I learned 20 new words. I have to study English hard.... Reading: I read English newspaper. I could figure out what news written. However, I couldn't understand a lot of words... I have to memorize many words and use them in conversation. Listening: I listened texts of ECC. I had been studied English at ECC. So I practice "listening" by the texts. I learned that some countries have different customs. Japanese people usually eat okayu when we have a cold, you know. Do you know other people around the world usually drink when they're sick? Some people drink carbonated drinks. For example, Russian people drink hot vodka with paper, lemon, and honey. Also, Scottish people drink whiskey!! I was surprised when I heard the facts and I felt all countries have different customs!! Writing: I wrote 5 quick writes this week. I felt that I'm not good at writing English...
